RoadTrip

An animated short film about a group of friends who go on a road trip which takes a turn for the worse.

This was my final short film for my Animation course at university. As this was made during the pandemic meaning I didn't have access to the university software and facilities, I decided to do the majority of my animation in Blender 3d since it was a free software with a lot of tutorials to help me learn along the way.  I've always wanted to merge both 2d and 3d animation so I took this as my opportunity to learn while creating something.

This was the original animatic I made for my project using my storyboard however the story was way too long to achieve by myself in the time I had and I felt that there was too much dialogue that didn't push the story forward. Due to the limitations of creating this during lockdown, I used a text to speech software to create my animatic as I wasn't able to get voice acting at the time.
